Hi, I’m Craig. Thanks for dropping by.

I’ve been called the “Geek who can speak” because of my ability to make complicated things simple to understand. Perhaps that’s because I have two college degrees, not in computer science as you might think, but in journalism. I graduated from UC Berkeley in 1982 and Stanford University in 1984.

Using metaphors, analogies, and simple concepts, I make it easy to understand what’s going on with your computer and how to fix it.

Fresh out of grad school, I started two professional trade magazines in the computer industry: Computer Language for software developers and AI Expert for advanced programmers. Along with my business partner, Carl Landau, I also created two industry trade shows for each market that ran annually for each magazine audience.

I’ve been an industry analyst who spoke on panels at trade shows like COMDEX (microcomputer industry) and CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas, NV every year.

I’ve also worked as a high-end consultant on digital strategies for companies such as Intel, AT&T, Bechtel, and Starbucks, just to name a few.

I can fix anything from Microsoft Windows and Apple computers to complex Linux systems. As a “jack of all trades,” I build new systems and repair used systems with new hardware components. I’m also an expert in networking, configuring routers for secure firewalls, VPNs, and Wi-Fi hotspots.

I work closely with tech-support agents at all major internet providers to represent my customers so they don’t have to do it themselves.
